Jim was a great help to me and my family member as we navigated the process of becoming first-time homeowners. He was always available to answer questions and guide us while looking at homes that were on the market. Both Jim and Kelly coordinated effectively with our mortgage broker, home inspectors, repair companies, and other parties involved in the homebuying process, making everything much easier for us. They also worked together to guide us through the task of negotiating with the seller to make our purchase offer, giving us confidence that we were getting the best deal possible. For example, Jim was able to obtain concessions from the seller that significantly helped with our closing costs. When unforeseen circumstances threatened to cancel and delay our closing, Jim insisted that the closing proceed as scheduled and negotiated a way to move forward with the attorneys so that we could hold on to our mortgage rate lock and close before our purchase contract expired. Having him as our advocate in these circumstances made a huge difference and helped us get through what could have been a difficult situation. Even after our closing, Jim and Kelly have continued to help us prepare for the next steps, assisting with minor repairs and giving advice for whatever we need. I highly recommend them!

As a first-time homebuyer, I couldn’t have asked for a better realtor than Kelly. The home-buying process can feel overwhelming, but Kelly made it seamless by guiding me every step of the way. On a scale of 1-5 Kelly is a 10+ (yes she’s that good!). Our primary home is in another state so we needed information about the Summerville/Charleston area. Kelly is knowledgeable with the area, very responsive to our calls, texts and emails, and prompt with our appointments. We told her what we were looking for in a new home, she found listings we were interested in, scheduled and showed us each one, and answered all questions we had about the home, utilities, and HOA’s. Late in the evening on the night before we were scheduled to leave for home to make our decision, we decided we would be interested in looking at homes with a different criteria, we contacted Kelly to see if it would be possible to look at a couple more places with only a few hours notice before we left. She immediately went to work to schedule showings for the home and appointments with the office of the community we were interested in. After deciding on the home we wanted Kelly helped us with scheduling the home inspection and closing through email. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Kelly, you won’t find a better realtor.

Working on a deadline, I had to be placed in a new home on short notice. HartBurn jumped on my project with both hands and both feet! They showed me numerous properties, and were keenly sensitive to my budget and home needs. Every step of the way they were readily available and more than generous with their knowledge and skills. My home project was not a high-ticket sale. However, through the whole process I was treated with the same dignity, courtesy, and priority as if I were buying a mansion. In addition, since we had already moved to our new home, she was extremely helpful in managing the required inspections and was a great assist in resolving any inspection issues and was very helpful in proving information to manage our closing. The services and tasks necessary to complete a home purchase become very difficult when you're 3 time zones away,especially when there are problems! Communication becomes a major hurdle.
